Pointe Shoe Padding

I have only been on pointe for a year, but I have strong likes and dislikes for padding. 

I started out with lambs wool for padding in my shoes. At the time I only did 30mins a week on pointe, so that was fine. Lambs wool slips around in shoes and makes them terrible to wear without tights. It also causes blisters. Once the time I was spending on pointe grew, I went to find some better options. 

Now I wear Bunheads Pro Pouches. They are like an ouch pouch but they are thinner without gel under the foot. I personally think that too much padding is not needed for me and gel under the foot is not needed. If you got straight to a super thick gel pad, you will not feel the floor or easily be able to switch to something thinner. 

My review:
-I find that they do their job and make pointe less painful
-comfy in my shoes, don't slip around
-allow me to feel the floor
-a little too high cut, but they can be cut to size

Verdict: Great toe pad if you want to feel the floor and if you don't want something thick.
